GDPR Compliance

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) came into force on 25 May 2018. GDPR impacts every organisation within the EU which holds or processes personal data, including BioStore.

For more information on the GDPR visit the Information Commissioner’s Office website.

BioStore takes the security and protection of data extremely seriously. As part of our compliance programme we have updated our:

  • Privacy Policy, which you can access at any time via our website. This gives details about how we handle our customer, partner, suppliers and visitors to our website’s details;

  • Customer Agreement, which applies if you purchase our solutions (whether directly from us or through one of our trusted Partners). If you have any questions regarding your Customer Agreement, or haven’t received this, please contact us or the partner you purchased our solution from;

  • Partner Agreement, which includes the relevant clauses where we are acting as sub-data processors for our partners.

It is only in exceptional circumstances that we have access to the personal data which is inputted into BioStore solutions. From time to time we may access this to provide support to users, for example, and if we do this it in the capacity of a data processor. Our customers are always the data controllers. If you take our hosting services, this amounts to us processing your data so again we are a data processor and will act only on the data controller’s written instructions.
